Welcome to my world.

To capture a thought or expression in a structured manner has always been therapeutic for me. By getting it down on paper, I am able to encapsulate the moment while creating a point of reference to reflect on. When I share my works, I find that each person walks away with a new perspective. Whether it is a single line within a phrase or the overall concept of the piece, there will be something that will provoke or challenge your thoughts in what I write.

As inspiration will come from feedback, I would ask that you comment on each item you read. I hope to get a sense of what you experienced in order to produce a rolling conversation of thoughts and ideas.

A Second

A second has passed and a moment was born.

What happened in that time?

A person became a statistic 
A leaf fell from a tree
A blurry picture was taken
A nose started to bleed

One thought became another
One dollar became change
One child was found murdered
One mother feels the pain

A sip of whiskey was taken
A Q-tip was throw away
A ball was kicked in the air
A wall was painted gray

A frown turned upside down
One window was closed and locked
A key was found in a drawer
One sock was discovered lost

A lot can happen in an instant 
One constant in life’s walk
And guess what just happened
One second ticked off the clock
